AEROBASE was founded by master modeller Shinichi Iwami in April, 1996, after he left Tamiya. His mission is to spread the fun of model making. His motto is: "Easy to assemble, best quality"

He has gone on to develop a line of exquisitely detailed, photo-etched, metal aircraft models. They are all partial skeletons of early airplanes...the pioneers of flight. To say that the level of detail on these little jewels is amazing is an understatement. Equally amazing is the ease with which they can be assembled. The tiny 1:160 scale "MICRO WINGS" series typically have a very few pieces, which only need bending and a drop or two of CA glue.

The "STANDARD" series (1:48 and 1:72 scale) are larger and even more detailed. They require a few more steps to finish, but they are still doable with some bending, tweezers and CA glue. Your friends won't believe you built them!
