Of Barbeques and B-52's

When we lived in Texas, we were only a few miles from a B-52 Base in Fort Worth.  A  good friend of mine,  Col. Craig Morris was out next door neighbor and a command officer on 52's.  We had arranged a big barbecue at our place for a Friday night, and Craig and his wife were coming.  At the last minute he got called for duty (these were the days when the 52's were in the air 24  hours a day on strategic operations) and had to beg off the barbecue. He was really pissed off because he'd been on duty for 30 straight days and was looking forward to a blow-out.
We were all having a great time and at about 8:00pm my Goddamn house started to shake and everybody looked up and a whole flight of 52's were flying right over my damn house!  It was Craig who arranged it.  They were  really low and I thought my  house was going to fall down with the vibrations from all those engines, especially at the low altitude they were flying.  I grabbed my camera (no telephoto lens, either) and took a quick snap.
